Are your diapers biodegradable or compostable?Updated 4 months ago

Our diapers are not biodegradable or compostable, the truth is no disposable diapers are compostable or biodegradable. Unfortunately when a diaper brand markets that its disposable diaper is biodegradable or compostable, it actually means that some parts of the diaper can biodegrade if they are separated from the rest of the diaper after the diaper has been used, and brought to an industrial composting facility that provides the right environment for the parts to break down over time.

Unfortunately, there are only a few composting facilities in the US that accept diapers, so the majority of these diapers end up in a landfill, and the parts of them that could biodegrade do not. Because of this, we focused on the beginning of the supply chain and the materials we source - we focused on replacing petroleum-based materials with plant-based materials in our diaper, in order to be as sustainable as possible while making a diaper that is as effective as conventional diapers.
