Why would the Food and Drug Administration regulate diapers?Updated 4 months ago

Surprisingly, the FDA actually regulates more than food and drugs (despite what their name suggests!) They also regulate personal care, cosmetics and medical devices including bandages, feminine care and even adult diapers.

Because baby diapers are not regulated by the FDA, companies can include materials and chemicals that similar products would not be allowed to include. This is why we have conducted 900+ lab tests, to find a truly safe standard for baby diapers. We believe that a diaper for baby needs to be made of the safest possible materials because baby is typically in one 24/7 for the first 3 years of life and have especially delicate skin, which is more permeable than that of an adult.
